AUSTRALIAN IRON AND STEEL. LTD.
The directors of Australian Iron and Steel, Ltd., Sydney, notify that they have carefully considered the advisability of paying accrued dividends on the cumulative preference shares, but have rdecided that, while trade conditions have continued to improve during the past halfyear, the improvement has not been sufficient to warrant payment .of either accrued dividends, or that due for the halfyear to November 1, having regard under existing conditions to the necessity for conserving the resources of the company. The preference shares were issued as carrying a dividend of 7% per cent, per annum.
