MRS. ELIZABETH HANNAY
Mrs. Elizabeth Hannay,' widow, of Mr. William M. Hannay, who was ■ "at one time one of the New Zealand Goy- - ernment Bailway Commissioners .and.:, afterwards secretary and general manager of the Wellington-ManawMn Bail- •• way Co., Ltd., died at her residence, 172 Wellington Terrace, this .morning. Mrs. . Hannay, who had been in failing health ' for several months past, was 86 years . of age. An ardent worker in the in-. • terests of the Kent Terrace, Presbyterian Church, she was of a retiring though charitabje disposition. Mrs.. Hannay is survived by one sister, Miss McCririe (Wellington), two sons, Alexander Hannay (Australia) and Keith Hannay (Wellington)', three daughters, Mrs. F. C. Widdop. (Wellington), Mrs. Fi Forrest (Palmerston North), and Miss J. Hannay (Wellington). ■ She hi»s left also ten grandchildren and on* great-grandchild. '■; . :■'•.•■
The interment is to take place tomoi* row afternoon at the Sydney ■ Street Cemetery. ,
