"Variety," the- foremost theatrical ; weokly, declares in its current issue that the Pickford:Fairbank differences havo been settled, and Miss Pickford announces that she will not sell Pickfair, their Hollywood residence. "The patch-up came last week during a trans-oceanic telephone conversation. Miss Pickford called her husband, and both agreed that ti misunderstanding had been brought about, nearly wrecking their, marriage. . The inside, of the split-up situation is that it was brought about through the eagerness of a Hollywood film-chatter ' writer for a frontpage yarn." ',-.,,
