STAGE HANDS' DISPUTE
After sitting in committee on Tuesday afternoon and yesterday in Conciliation' Council, Mr. P. Hally presiding, the parties to the Dominion Theatrical and Stage Employees' dispute, ad-' journed the hearing for 30 days.
The stage was reached after: discussion on wages and other matters in dispute, when an offer was made by Mr. W. J. Mountjoy on behalf of the employers dealing with the essential clauses. ...-■'
Mr. A. W. Croskery, for the unions represented, said that he was not prepared fo accept the responsibility of closing- down the conference immediately, nor of accepting the offer, until 'an opportunity had been.given the employees' assessors of going back to the unions, and discussing the matter with their members. ■
