Over- ■ 100 couples attended the 'fhard up" dance held recently in the Prince Edward Theatre,;. Wqburn, by tjie'Hutti Valley Bailway Ambulance Division. ; , ■ .
.OiAfter the. grand march Miss Peggy Welch^ who judged the costumes, announced Miss Horweir and Mr. T. Pincock as ''the most down and out. *' A flashlight photograph was taken of the assembly. A "clown" (Mr. T. Pincock)" ana a "coon" (Mr. T. Walker) enlivenea the prdeceaing's with their many antics. The hot supper was a feature of the evening. Professor "Onkazoom and his band" provided the music for the grand march and some of the dances. Music was also provided by Mr. Jim Bolton and his dance band ana Mr. E. Mailman.
The committee comprised Mesdames Walsh, Horwell, McKeown, and Messrs. E. P. Walsh, H. W. Hartley, B. MeMullen, Ei Horwell, A. S. Blanchard, E. E. Menzies, W. J. Smith, B. M. McKeown, G. F. Biehardson, G. B. Highfieia, C. A.' Fuller, and" A. J. Boss. Mr. H. W. Hartley made a very ;efflcient M.C.
