AUSTRALIAN CHALLENGE
MELBOURNE, October 31. S. Smith, lessee of Waltzing Lily, has f issued a challenge, accompanied by £1000; to race that mare against Game Carrington, Kuvera, Pretzel, Topical, or Oro over any distance from six to' twelve furlongs. Smith holds the.opinion that Waltzing Lily was unlucky in the Caulfield Cup and the Cox Plate.
