RECORDS BROKEN AT MARSDEN

Yesterday's fine weather contributed much to the success of the twenty-fifth annual sports meeting of Marsden School. In the afternoon particularly, there was a large attendance of' parents and former pupils, who gave their co-operation freely in many of the events. The previous record of 14sec for the 100 yards senior championship, put up by Miss P. Rogers last year, was broken by Miss S. Duncan with a time of 13 2-ssee. Miss jM. Perret's record tor the 50 yards walk ' (junior championship) was also beaten by Miss J. Curtis- with a time of 12sec. Miss S. Duncan, with 20 points, gained the senior championship, while Miss M. Dickie (1C points) was runner-up. Miss P. Lewer gained the junior title, with Miss B. Allen second.
