Perhaps the world's record for shorthand writing is held by Mr. Lewis, of Johannesburg. Throughout one session of the Boundaries Commission, he averaged 178 words a minutes throughout one whole day. During the last forty-eight minutes be recorded: 9,337 words, au average of 198% a minute.
