AMBULANCE CADETS
ANNUAL COMPETITION
KEEN JUVENILES
The first annual ' competition among cadet divisions of the St. John Ambulance Brigade was held on Saturday afternoon. There were over 90 members on parade, and the inspection was made by Mr. F. W. Ward, Assistant , Commissioner in charge of the Wellington district. The competition carried a cup for boys' divisions aud one for girls' divisions. Only three boys' teams- competed, but fourteen girls' teams came forward. Mr. F. D. C. Elvines, Corps Officer for Cadets, was in command of the parade, and was assisted by Mrs. Osborn, Lady1 Corps Officer for Girl Cadets. Among the numerous visitors were Colonel J. J. Ksson, Lieut.-Commander of the New Zealand Commandery of St. John, and Mr. C. S. Falconer, Dominion secretary of the New, Zealand. Commandery. The results of the competitions were: — Boys.—Wellington East Cadets, 1. Girls.—Wellington Suburban Cadets, No. 2,' team (J. Whitaker, M. Morgan, M. Goodman, M. Atkinson), 1; Brooklyn Cadets, No. 1 team (J. Taylor, P. Hodge, W. Hodge, j; Westwood), 2; St. Paul's Cadets,- Squad A (M. McKeclmie, B. Davis, Z. Gray, K. Gray), 3; Brooklyn Cadets, No. 2 team (M. Greeney, B. Andrews, E. Knight, V. Veale), 4.
