ONE-ARMED GOLFERS
No stronger witness to the compelling power of golf could be imagined than the decision to hold an open golf championship for one-armed players. This championship is being arranged by the Society of One-armed Golfers, whose headquarters are in Glasgow. Many of those who will take part are men who learned .their golf in pre-war days, and whose love for the game has suffered no diminution through loss of a limb. The response has already been great, and inquiries are said to have been received from one-armed players in many parts of the world. Some of the players have reputations which many a two-armed golfer would envy —men whose physical handicap is by no means reflected in their club handicap. The Scottish players will meet players from England and Ireland.
