MASTERTON CARNIVAL
CO-OPERATION SOUGHT
(Special to the "Evening Post.")
MASTERTON, This Day. • A proposal to hold a carnival in*Masterton in November and early December, in aid of the Mayor's Unemployment Relief Fund, was considered at a public meeting last night, convened and presided over by the Mayor (Mr. T. Jordan).
The idea of holding a carnival at the period stated found little favour, but after an extended discussion it was agreed unanimously that an endeavour should bo made to get the Mastcrton V.M.C.A., the Dental Clinic, and the Municipal Band to co-operate in organising a carnival next February and March, with th<) understanding that much the larger part of the proceeds should go to the Unemployment Belief Fund.
