Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Bagge, Loudon, who arrived in AVelliugton last week, and have been staying at the Midland Hotel, have taken Mrs. Lan Johnston's house at Lower Hutt. Mrs. M. H. Chatficld returned to Wellington this morning by the Maungauui from Sydney, after an extended visit to South Africa, England, and Scotland. Mrs. Bernard Stott arrived in Wellington last week from Hawera, and is 'staying with her mother, Mrs. Howard Eeid. Miss Kathleen Hoarc, Christehurch, will arrive in Wellington tomorrow en route to Auckland. Mrs. Marshall Maedonald and Mrs. Forde, members of the Unemployment Advisory Board, are visiting Dunedin. Mrs. J. Abel, Wellington, returned by the Maungaaui this morning after an absence of seven months in Australia. Misses Byrne, Highland Park, returned to Wellington this morning by the Maunganui from Sydney, after a visit to England and the Continent. Miss Joyce Seth-Smith will arrive in Wellington tomorrow morning en route to Auckland. Mrs. M. J. Herring, Baltow, New South Wales, arrived in Wellington this morning l>y the Maunganui, en route to Otago and Southland, where she will visit friends, Miss M. Lambie (Wellington), Director of the Division of Nur.sing, arrived at Lytteltou today by the Maui Pomare on her return from Apia, Samoa, where she has beea in charge of the hospital for two months. Mrs. C. Mountfort, Christchuvch, returned to Wellington this morning by the Maunganui from Sydney, after spending the winter in Australia. She will stay at the. Hotel Cecil lief ore leaving for the south. Miss Patsy Barker, Gisborno, will be the guest of Mrs. J. H. Hall, Christchurch, for Cup week. Miss M. C. Holderness, who has just returned to London after paying a short visit to the Lake. Districts in Scotland, will leave for New Zealand by the Port FremaEtle about December 14.
