Friday's closing prices for the following raw materials were as follows, those for October 20 being in parentheses:-— Cotton: Liverpool quotation, good American middling, 5.54 d a lb (5.51 d); November delivery, 5.36 d a lb (5.29 d). Rubber:' Para, 4 3-8 d alb (4y 2 d) plantation smoked ribbed sheet, 3 29-32 d a lb (3 23-32 d). Jute: October-November shipment, Indian jute, Dundee quotation, £45 2s 6d a ton (£l4 12s 6d). Copra: November-December shipment, South Sea, £9 a ton (£8 15s); plantation, Kabaul, £9 2s Od a ton (£9). Linseed oil: £19 15s a ton (£10). Turpentine: 44s v cwt (46s 3d). Osmirjdium: Unchanged.
