SCENES IN COURTHOUSE
(Received October 28, 2.30 p.m.) PARIS, October 27. On the resumption of the Aix-lo-Provcuec trial, Georges Sarret and his daughter were dissolved in tears, following' tho collapse and removal from tho court of Sarrct's first wife, Madame Bertrand, as she attempted to testify and the prosecutor read her statement made prior to Sarrct's arrest. His second wife, Madame Ainuid, also
wecpiug> testified that Sarret had given her many articles belonging to the t murdered priest Chambon, in whose villa she and Sarret lived for three months after Chainbon's death. There was another scene when Philouionp Schmidt flew at Sarret and tried to scratch his face, screaming: "You dirty scoundrel, you low dog." The police found difficulty in restoring order.
