SENTENCE REDUCED
FIVE YEARS TO THREE
A sentence of five years' hard labour imposed on August 17 by Mr. Justice Reed on Albert Lionel Bailey, aged 39, formerly a ■ solicitor at Napier, for offences of theft and forgery, was reduced to..three years' hard labour by the Court of Appeal today. Tho theft charge involved £2111. Tho other charges against the prisoner were three of forgery and uttering and one of fraudulently procuring a certificate of title.
