ARRIVAL AT DERBY
(British Official Wireless.) (Received October 20, 11 a.m.), RUGBY, October 19. Mr. Charles Ulm, flying an Avrfi high-wing monoplane, the Faith in Australia, reached Derby, Western Australia, at 12.15 a.m. on Friday, that is 3.45 p.m. Greenwich mean time, having completed the journey from England in six days 17 hours 45 minutes. This has established a fresh record for the journey, and beats by 11 hours the record set up eight days ago by Sir Charles Kings« ford Smith. The latter's record still holds for a solo flight, as Mr. Ulm had three companions, Messrs. Alleq and Taylor, 'co-pilots, and Edwards, navigator. Mr. Ulm is an Australian, and was relief pilot to Kingsford Smith on many notable flights, iu< eluding one across the Pacific.
