CARDIFF IRONWORKS
COMPANY TO REOPEN
EFFECT OF TARIFFS

LONDON, October 19. flic British Iron and Steel Company has decided, owing to the effect of tariffs, to reopen their Cardiff works, spending two million sterling in reconditioning the plant, to enable an annual output of 300,000 tons of billets and steel bars, employing 1500 men.
