CONFIDENCE CARNIVAL
SPORTS "PRINCESS" EVENT
A most enjoyable dance and social was held recently in the Kelburn Kiosk for Miss Gretta Stark (sports "princess"), many friends and supporters being present. Items were given \y Miss G. Stark, Mr. B. Stark, and Mr. Tommy Hislop, Mr. G. G. Stewart (chairman of the carnival executive) giving an interesting talk on the aims of the carnival. Community singing, led by Mr. J. Cooke, was enjoyed. Among .those present were Miss Gretta Stark (sports "princess") who wore a black velvet frock, Mesdames G. Stark, senr., Martin, A. Stark, G. Stark, jiir., S. Le Grove; Missess D. Wallburton, E. Mclntyre, A. Sime, B. Asher, A. Phillipps, M. Cooke, Prince, F. Scarf c, E. Hay, I and Z. Mason,'J; Taylor, E; Rcnai,, M. Pirani, and M. Eobinspn; Messrs. Lo Grove, Eogers,, Pilkingtbn, Williams, Peters, Taylor, Cheeseman, D. Stark, A. Stark, E. Stark, N. Mcl>jnzie, and Flowers.
