E.S.U. GATHERING

Membera of the English-speaking Union and their friends attended a, social evening held at the Pharmacy Hall, last evening. Dancing was enjoyed, and songs given by Mr. 0. H. Benge and Miss Marjorio Bennie were much appireciated. Cards were also. played in a section of the hall which was comfortably furnished as a lounge. The supper tables had been artistically decorated with Iceland poppies by Miss Black. Mr. Benge (chairman) welcomed the visitors. He read the creed of the English-speaking Union and outlined its aims of ' mutual understanding between English-speaking countries. Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. 0. H.
