LOVELOCK'S RECORD BEATEN
(Eeceived October 10, 1 p.m.) PARIS, October 9. J. Ladoumegucß ran three-quarters of a mile in 2min .'69 l-ssee, beating J. E. Lovelock's amateur record. If recognised, it will be only as a professional record.
It was in June of last year that J. E. Lovelock, of New Zealand, established a new rCcord for three-quarters of a mile by covering tho distance at a meeting in England in 3min 2 l-sscc. Ladoumegue, who- is not now regarded as an amateur, had previously recorded 3min 0 l-ssec for three-quarters of a mile, but recognition of this performance as a record was not given by the International Federation. -
