THE OLD WITCH
(Original.) One day an old witch caught a little fairy. All tho fairies in Fairyland were rushing to tell the queen. When the queen heard, shp , said, "When the witch is gathering sticks in the wood, all of you must run and get tho fairy put of the castle." As all the fairies ae.ted rightly, the fairy was saved. Now the witch never catches the fairies. The fairy queen aßked the witch to become a fairy, and she is now the queen's right-hand helper and friend. "GOLDEN PHEASANT" (9). Greytown'. . . .
