PAINTERS' AWARD
TENTATIVE AGREEMENT
An industrial ■ agreement has been reached between the Wellington master painters, the district association of employers, and the Painters' Union. It will remain in operation for the period of one month and until such time after that period as the parties wish to withdraw it. The object of such a short-term agreement is to enable a Dominion award to be considered. One reason for such a tentative agreement is that there is a considerable amount of painting work in Wellington just now, and it is not desired to impede it. ' ■
