■ . WAIROA, September 7. On a heavy ground, but in. beautiful weather, the Wellington Colts maintained their unbeaten record by defeating Wairoa by 21 points to 12. The home forwards were much superior to the visitors' vanguard, but the Colts' backs were outstanding, and to them and the lack of a goal-kicker in thu Wairoa side can be attributed the victory.
