DAMAGE TO CROPS
INCREASED EXPORTS
(Eeceived August 10, 2 p.m.) •OTTAWA, August 9. Heat, drought, and plagues of grasshoppers- combined during the past week to cause further damage to Canadian crops, the Bureau of Statistics reported on Wednesday. An increase of mora than 100,000 bushels is shown in export clearance for,- the week ending August 4, compared with the previous week, and an increase of more than half a million bushels. against the cori j responding period of last year.
