CORRESPONDENTS' VIEWS
"Wing Feather" has written expressing alarm that a move is being made to rob Wellington o£ its aerodrome nnd suggests means, including land exchanges and rearrangement of loading, by which a greater area might be made available. Ho does not refer to the air conditions. ' Mr. Dunbar Sloanc urges that con-
sideration should be given to the suitability of the Porirua Harbour locality for combined land and seaplane purposes. A scheme was put forward some time ago, ho writes, for the building of a rubble wall, from material available on the spot, and reclamation of the area so enclosed. He suggests also that such a reciaimed area would provide recreation grounds, readily accessible on completion of tho Tawa Plat deviation,, and that the Porirua stream could be diverted and beautified. The scheme, he contends, could be quickly and economically carried out, and would provide employment for hundreds of men.
