MOTOR COLLISION
WAIRARAPA CASE
Having previously been the subject of an action in-, t'-e- Magistrate's Court at Masterton, circumstances of a motor collision near the Opaki racecourse in March of this year were again under review yesterday, when, in the Supreme Court, the Chief Justice- (Sir Michael Myers) heard an appeal from the Magistrate's decision. • The- appellant was Erico Diego Cameron, of Martinborough,- and tho respondent Herbert Belford Daken, of Mount Bruce. His Honour reserved decision. ' ' The collision was between a motortruck driven by Cameron and a car driven by Daken. As a.- result of it the truck.became almost a total wreck, and Dakeu's car was also considerably damaged. >In the Magistrate's Court at Masterton Cameron claimed £95 from Dakeu, and Daken counter-claimed against Cameron for £122 10s. The Magistrate gave judgment for Daken for £92 10s and costs, and it was from this decision that the appeal was made. At the hearing of the appeal Mr. C. C. Marsack appeared for • tho appellant and Mr. B. E. Burridge for tho respondent. <■
