BOXING FIXTURES
WELLINGTON ASSOCIATION
Arrangements for future contests were made by the committee of the Wellington Boxing Association last night. Mr. A. Curtayne presided. The secretary (Mr. W. G. Talbot) reported that the junior championships had been fixed for August 21 and 22, and that the senior championships would be staged on August 28 and 29. . Mr. Curtayne said that the match committee had recommended that on the second night of the junior championships a match be arranged between Charlie Purdy and Twist Jaggers. The recommendation was adopted. . Mr E. Perry was nominated for the position of referee at the New Zealand amateur championships to be held at. Blenheim on September 7, 8, and 9. Mr. V Salek was appointed. manager oE the Wellington team, and Mr. P. H. Donoghue 'iiTwae decided to donate a medal to the : Scots College- championships for the most scientific boxer of the tournament.
