• BERLIN, August 8. Germany has replied to the British and French diplomatists that their Governments' action in mixing themselves in the Austro-German impasse was "inadmissible." The reply added that Germany refused to agree that Nazi propaganda in Austria infringed treaties. They add that the incident may be considered closed. The whole affair was launched b^t French newspapers, "For the sake of amicable* relations between Germany and her neighbours," the Government has decided to release the three persons kidnapped in the Saar; on July 22, declaring that the kidnapping, was not a political act, but an act of private vengeance by men acting in retaliation for an assault.
