THE KREUGER CASE
After fourteen months' work by the Stockholm police, the criminal investi- j gation of tho affairs of Ivar Kreuger, late "matfh king," has been completed. The results aro embodied in t fifty reports, the equivalent of an 8000- j page book. Moro than fifty persons have been formally prosecuted and of j those twenty havo been sentenced. Many new points of law have beep raised during the investigation, especially as regards "swindling of tho general public" and responsibility of directors of a company for falso bookkeeping. K. G. A. Sandstrom, tho prosecuting attorney, lias announced his intention of seolcing changes in some of the prevailing laws.
