WALKER DEFEATS VARGA
! ■ (By Telegraiih.—Prega Association.) AUCKLAND, Aiigust 7. Wrestling here tonight, George Walker defeated Count Varga, of' Hungary, who made his first appearance in Auckland. Walker secured the only fall iv eight, rounds. It was secured in a sensational manner. Walker charged .ptraight into his opponent at the opening gong, aud senthim sprawling on his back, and then pounced upon him to .secure the fall with a .body-press. . : .■ Varga rose from tho mat and looked about with amazement. Tho largo, crowd was delirious with . excitement at, the sensational opening. Later, however, a few of the spectators apparently thought the bout was being unnecessarily prolonged, and a'number of pennies were hurled into tho ring at different places. Varga wrestled in bare feet, and danced about the ring like a ballet dancer. I
