CLAIM AGAINST HUSBAND
Decision was reserved;.- by Mr. ■E, Page, S.M., in the ease heard in the Magistrate's Court yesterday' in which Chapman, Tiipp, Cooke, and Watson, barristers md solicitors, claimed '& 157 10s front David James Richards, a retired university, prof essoTj as the amountallegedly due for services tendered as solicitors to the defendant's wife. .Mr. P. Shorland appeared for the. plaintiffs and Richards conducted his own case. Continuing the case for the defence after "The Post" went to press yesterday, Richards quoted legal authorities at «ome length to show' that the plaiatiffs were entitled to no more than the costs allowed them by the Magistrate who heard the separation and maintenance case in; which Mrs. Hichards incurred the expenses which formed the basis of the claim. He also/submitted that several of the items,included in the .plaintiffs' bill were excessive, and in some instances related to work done for Mrs. Richards in connection with a Supremo Court case for which he was not liable.
