SMALL, YET FAST
INTERNATIONAL TROPHY
NEW FEATURES
(Received August 5, 11 a.m.) LONDON, August I It is revealed that the revolutionary speed craft, Miss Britain 111, using only a 900 horse-power engine instead of the 1375 horse-power, for which she was designed, touched a speed of nearly 110 miles an hour, the fastest ever achieved on'stilt water. She is the smallest boat ever entered for the international trophy, only 24ft 6ia long, and Bft beam. ' Scientists, watching the test, describe the boat as faster than anything in transport, except a catapulted aeroplane. New/ features include an allmetal design, using SCOO rivets, and steeling by a forward rudder.
