Rodda, and the High Commissioner attended a mooting of experts who were discussing the now coinage for New Zealand. Two of the most famous currency artists, Mr. Kruger Grey and Mr. Metcalf, had been invited to submit designs, and these were the subject of examination. Nine experts assembled in the Armoury at St. James's Palace, where all the meetfugs of tho Royal Mint directors are held according to a long-standing custom. The High Commissioner was especially interested in this room, as it was here that he attended the sittings of the Five-Power Conference in 1930, and he .pointed out to . the Prime Minister that on the fireplace in the room are the printed names of Henry VIII and Anne BoJeyji. Tho Royal Mint is the coinage manufacturer for most of the countries of the world. Several European countries make their own money, and three countries other than these have their money made by one or otlict of these European mints. The remaining States of the world am customers of tho Royal Mint, which has recently produced a supply of the Russian coin, Chevrouetz.
