(■Received August 5, 11 a.m.) . NEW YORK, August 4. At Forest Hill, in tho '\Viglitmaii_ Cup matches, Miss H. Jacobs (U.S.A.) defeated Miss D. E. Round (Britain), 6-4, 6-2. Miss S. Palfrey (U.S.A.) defeated Miss M. Scriven (Britain), 6-3, 6-1. The United States team was faced with tho possibility of losing another star when Miss Marble experienced dizziness and was placed under tho physician's care. Mrs." Helen Wills-Moody, captain of tho American cup team, decided on Friday not to play in the Wightmau Cup matches because of an old back injury. Miss Sarah Palfrey replaced her in the singles. Mrs. Wills-Moody will act as nonplaying captain in Friday's matches. She* hope's to be back in action on Saturday. Tho decision is to be mado after a further examination by a physician.. The injury is an old one, aggravated by practice in the last few. days. , •
