ST. WARRIGAL'S SHOWING
St. Warrigal was a very tired Tibrse at the end of the Akaraiia Steeplechase at Ellerslie last Saturday, and he will have t6 stay on considerably better if' he is to have any chance in the Grand National Steeplechase. He: went away: in ,the >le;ad, and held it for a good portion of the' Way, but \Vas well beaten; before the hill ,was reached the last time, and though he com: pleted the course he was well down the straight' when : the -.winner' reached the post. St. Warrigal has not done much racing for a long, time, and( there is no doubt, that he is a fine Jumper,; but he is deficient in stamina.: ;i--w ;■■■ r
