LEAGUE CRICKET
(By "Not Out.")
According to advice by mail from England,,l. B. Cromb, East Lancashire's New Zealand professional, was out of action for some time with an injured arm. When bowling against Church (A. W. Roberts's club), Cromb tore a muscle of his arm. Although not our of the leading teams, Rishton at that time was considered to have good prospects of winning the Lancashire League championship, the outlook being very promising through the splendid form being shown by their professional, W. E. Merritt.
The time occupied by C.'-S. Dempster in making one of his big scores (112 not out) for Blackpool in the "Ribblesr dale League is,given as sixty-five minutes, which indicates that in Dempster's displays there must be plenty of sparkle.
