TERRACE SCHOOL CONCERT

Pupils attenflißg the Terrace {School gave a concert Ijist evening in St. 'Andrew's Hall. There was a very large attendance. The prqavamme consisted of itemb by boys anil girls attending the scjiqol, as^ well as by'a number of adult friends. Children in the primer classes opened with a selection of songs, which they followed with folk dancing and a, fairy play, Zoe Covrigan and Billy Shires taking the solo parts. Standards I and 11 sang "Silver. Jfoan" and "The Old Cloqk," after which they gave chpral recitations, in which Saii-ley Wilson, Vera Marks, and John Burge' played tho principal parts. Pupils of Standards V aud VI gave several sea chanties, including the popular "What Shall-.We c|o wifh the Drunken' Sailor. Dances by Hangi Jessep, 'Betty Kosenthal, Mavis Pridds, Pat Oliver, Alice Sugden, and Nathalie Pollock, aiid a song and recitation by Bruce Maxwell, added variety to the programme. Adults who contributed were Miss Wilson (humorous recitations), Miss Matier (character sketch). Miss Z. Henderson (musical monologue), Miss Thomson and Mr. Wallace (songs and a duet). The chairman of the school committee (Mr. Turner) thankeel parents for' their attendance and the performers, for their contributions to the evenings amusement.
