MARTON SHEEP PRICES.
The Farmers' Co-operative Distributing Co., selling at Mar ton on Tuesday, offered 600 sheep and 52 head of cattle, and 40 pigs. There was a keen inquiry for breeding ewes. A good Jine of two-tooth ewes in lamb to S.D. rams, on account of F. J. Soler, realised 235. The ton.c of the sheep market was firm, but dairy cattle were hard to sell. Pigs sold well up to late rates. Two-tooth ewes, r.w. S.D. late rates. Two-tooth ewes, r.w. S.D. rams, good, 235; good medium ewe hoggets, 9s Gd; fat lambs, 14s Gd to 18s 3d; mixed aged ewes, r.w. R. rams, 10s 3d; small cull lambs, 3s 9d. Forward bullocks, £3 15s; fat heifers, £3 2s; Jersey cows, at drop, £4; August calvers, £3 10s; Jersey springing heifers, £3 12s 0d; weaner pigs, 10s to lls 6d; smaller sorts, 7s 6d; slips, 12s 6d; good store pigs, ISs to 18s 6d.
