WETHERS PRICES ADVANCE

Wright, Stephenson, and Co., Ltd., and Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on Johnsonville sale-this week as follows:— There was the usual attendance of buyers, to whom we submitted an average yarding of all classes of stock. Cattle met with a keen demand at late rates. The sheep yarding comprised good quality wethers and ewes, with several pens of lighter sorts. Lambs were yarded in larger numbers than of late. A total clearance was effected at auction. . Prices for wethers showed an advance on last week's rates of up to Is per head, whilst ewes were firm, with no quotable alteration in prices.
