FEILDING RESULTS
The results of hockey matches played under the jurisdiction of the Feikling Association on Saturday are as follows: — Ladies: High School Old Girls 1, Colyton 1; Carnarvon 5, Hinekoa 1. Men: Tokorangi 0, Colyton 4; Carnarvon 2, Wanderers 3; Pirates 1, Stanway 4. Two frames were played on the Feilding grounds and only fair-class hockey was shown. Stanway beat Pirates in a very scrappy game, there being too many infringements for good hockey and the referees should have penalised the players still move. Messrs. J. MacFarlane and S. Chesterfield controlled the game. At Tokorangi Colyton men beat the Maori boys in a good clean game ably controlled by. Messrs. T. Tricklebank and W. Williams. At Carnarvon the Carnarvon ladies were victors over Hinekoa in a. game in which both sides gave an exhibition of good hockey but the winners were able to finish their work. Carnarvon men had to strike their colours to the consistent Wanderers. This was also a good game, as the Carnarvon ground is usually in good order. Messrs. G. R. Mclvenzie and A. G. Johnson were the referees.
