FLANNEL TRADE.
The majority of the more important Home trade centres were reported by the "Textile Mercury" as operating quietly for Rochdale flannel. Only occasional small lines were coming through for Ireland and Scotland. Export inquiry, had been on a better scale but few reports of additional business were being received, although Canada and New Zealand wore buying fairly steadily. India and China, however, were showing little interest and most of the other overseas markets were content with very; small quantities.1
