WEEKEND PLAY
J. D. MCINTOSH BRILLIANT
For several months J. D. Mclntosh, the Wellington professional, has been playing very sound golf, but on Sunday at Heretaunga he did consecutive rounds of 66 and 67, believed to be the best consecutive rounds on the course. The course was not so heavy as might be expected, though it was a trifle dead round the greens. Mclntosh made very few mistakes, but in the first nine holes he took three putts at the first and a 4 at the fifth, usually done in 3. The run of 31 back in the first round fully made up for this. The cards read:— Morning Round. Out: 542444453—3.5 In: 434432344-31 66 Afternoon Round. Out: 343443444—33 Tn: 445433443—3-1 67
