BIG CLOTHES-DRIVE
CHRISTCHURCH EFFORT
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHEISTCHUECH, June 25.
A clothes-drive organised by the letter carriers of the city was held yesterday afternoon, arid resulted in the collection of more than 10,000 parcels. Tho"'generosity of householders exceeded tho most sanguine expectations, and so much remained xmoollected in the suburbs that a supplementary _dvn;o will have to be organised immediately to make the sweep complete. Not only clothing was given, tho collection including list ween 7000 ■ and 9000 pairs of boots and shoes,;' bedsteads and bedding,, sowing machines, kitchen utensils, preserves, groceries, and produce. 1 Tho postmen wore assisted by Buy Scouts, Girl Guides,'and the Business Men's Belief Organisation.
