TRIP TO NAPIER
The bookings for the weekend train trip to Hawke's. Bay stations came well up to expectations. There were over a hundred passengers from Thorndon, . and tho number increased until the tally was nearly two .hundred aft.6;1 the departure from Palmcrston North. Favourable comment was made on the steam-heated second-class carriages and other arrangements, including catering, for the comfort of passengers.
