THE CAPTURE OF AUTUMN
(Original.) One day, as Autumn was walking through the forest, King Winter saw her. The King thought that if he captured Autumn, he would be able to reign for a long, time. So ho jumped, out of his hiding place and caught Autumn by the arm with his cokU hands. ■ . . j King Winter took Autumn to his my-f cold castle and shut her up in a largp room of ice. Then King Winter reigne* over the country for three months, ana the fairies and Fairiel wondered wheyo Autumn had gone. ,' One day a small fairy (named Faury Brown Eyes)' set out to see if she couM find Autumn. Brown Eyes went up/to King Winter'ftsCastle., and saw, through the window .'.Autumn crying bittea'ly. Brown Eyes had taken her wand Mtfith her, and touching ;.tho window, she opened it, and Autumn flew out.. ;/ . It was lucky that King Winter^ was not home, or he would have been'very angry to see Brown Eyes and Aurtumn creeping through the trees.
