(By Tejegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, June 13. Two: young men from Takaka, Nelson, rwere charged before Mr. E. W. McKean, S.M., in the Police Court with stowing away.on the Marama at Auckland on June >2. Accused were James John Dalton, labourer, aged 22, and Bonald Alva Simmonds, labourer, aged 20. Both pleaded guilty. It was stated that the two young men crossed from Nelson to the North Island and walked from Wellington to Auckland in search of work. They boarded the Marama at Auckland, but were detained in Sydney and sent back to New Zealand. The accused were convicted and each ordered to pay £5 in restitution of ex-' penses, in default six weeks' imprisonment.
