RESULT OF PAKAPOO RAID
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, June 13. . Two Chinese, and three European's were arrested as a result of a visit by detectives to Pitt Street premisea. Later they appeared before Mr. R. W. McKeen, ,S.M., in, the Police Court, charged with gaining offences. ■ Wong Lam, aged 40, pleaded guilty tp a charge of nßing the premises as.a common gaming house: '■' ' ' ' ! Pleas of guilty to charges of being unlawfully on the premises were entered by Sling Fook, aged 30, Benjamiri Phillips, .aged 30, Walter Clues, aged 50, and Thomas Piirdy, aged 33. i Detective-Sergeant O'Sullivan ' said that evidence of pakapoo playing was found. '■ ' , Wong Lam' was fined; £50, in default two month's' imprisonment. The men found on the premises were each fined. 10s, in default forty-eight hours' imprisonment. ',
