ESPERANTO CLUB
Tlio weekly meeting.of. the Wellington Esperanto Club was held last night in the Y.M.C.A-. Mr. Bertram Potts presided. Five teachers were kept occupied with classes ranging from beginners to senior students. The use of s several blackboards proved very helpful. The second portion of the evening was devoted to the encouragement of conversation in Esperanto among the students. The junior group was in the capable hands of Mr. Vernon Leek. The senior members wero engaged in improvising an amusing story in Esperanto, each member in turn ndding to the adventures of the hero. Mr. J. K. Campbell'presented a scries of questions in Esperanto in the form of a game, which proved both instructive and entertaining. At the conclusion of tlie conversation course, Mrs. C. Jjeck gave ~i. reading in Esperanto entitled "Bona Konsilo." The oontludins item wax an original Esperanto comedy. "La iSwistino," presented by Miss M. liCcU (the servant) and Miss Thehna Wind (the mistress).
