LECTRO MILKING MACHINE.
[Published. t>y Arrangement.].
This milking machine,' which is"'a New Zealand invention,. ia being exhibited at the present National Dairy Show at P&lmerston North. In designing the "Lectro" the inventors. have given special attention ;to sanitation, and to an entirely new. and • simplified method for cleaning.' The machine contains' just'about half the parts usually associated with mechanical milkers. There is no_ shafting, pulleys,' belts, Plummer blocks, vacuum tanks, sanitary condensers, air. pipes, or gearboxes; in fact, there : are :no moving parts beyond the vacuum pump; yet the machine functions perfectly. The success of the' machine is made possible by using electricity direct instead of converting it to a mechanical motion, hence the name, "Lectro Milker." All parts are positive in action, and unalterable. The voltage used is about the same as in a torch battery, shocks being impossible. \ This machine, is really remarkable for its simplified construction, and must be of special interest to dairy farmers attending the Show. Some of its advantages are as follows:— Sixty-forty pulsation, which provides the fastest and cleanest milking known to science; successional pulsating enabling the machine to work without a vacuum tank, and individual pulsation to each set of teat cups; a releaser without rubber tubing, and a vacuum pump without valves, packing glands, cranks, pistons, or baffle chambers; an electric pulsation, ensuring, its uniformity; and several other notable devicesthat make it an outstanding feature at the Show. The New Zealand Express Co., Ltd. (all Branches), are Sole Agents for this new machine.
