BRITAIN DEFEATS ITALY
(Received Juno 10, 11 a.m.) LONDON, June 9. The Davis Cup tie between Great Britain and Italy opened at Eastbourne yesterday, when Perry (Britain) defeated Baron de Morpurgo (Italy), 64, j 7-5, 6-4, and Austin (Britain) beat do Stefani (Italy), 6-2, 7-6,. 7-5. Italy was eliminated when Perry and Hughes (Britain) defeated Eadio and Carolli (Italy), 6-1, 6-4, 9-7.
